Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern use of Marion County Busted Mugshots. Do not use the service if you do not agree to them.

This is a privately owned reference service, not a government body, sheriff, jail, corrections department, private investigation firm, or consumer reporting agency. Neither this site nor advertising partners supplies services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Nature of the Service

Marion County Busted Mugshots is a private resource that points visitors toward official Marion County and West Virginia records systems. It stores no official jail, court, or booking record and cannot confirm custody, authorize a release, submit filings, or act for a government office.

References to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, WVDCR, North Central Regional Jail, courts, or outside research tools describe possible sources. They do not create an agency relationship or an endorsement.

Responsible Use

Visitors must use the site lawfully and with respect for others. They may not:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, impersonate, or otherwise harm another person.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to this service, an official resource, or a partner system.
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar tools without written authorization.
  • Interfere with the availability or security of the service.
  • Use site information to make an employment, housing, lending, insurance, licensing, or benefit decision.

FCRA-Prohibited Uses

Marion County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare consumer reports, credit reports, or screening reports, and neither site operators nor advertising partners provide a screening service. Visitors agree not to use any site information for a purpose covered by the FCRA.

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or contractor decisions.
  • Tenant or housing screening.
  • Creditworthiness, lending, insurance eligibility, or premium decisions.
  • Licensing, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other FCRA-regulated decision.

Outside Links and Partner Tools

Links may lead to official jail locators, booking-admissions pages, sheriff or corrections offices, courts, legal resources, and independent search providers. Those destinations are separate services. Their content, availability, terms, pricing, security, and data practices are outside our control, and a link is not an endorsement.

No Warranties

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranty that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Custody and court information can change quickly, and an official source controls its own records.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Marion County Busted Mugshots and its operators, providers, and partners are not liable for damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on this service or an external site.

Indemnification

Visitors agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Marion County Busted Mugshots and its operators from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees that arise from their use of the service or violation of these terms.
